More than 100 members of the public attended an open day at a new funeral home in Dersingham.

Family firm Thornalley Funeral Services welcomed the public to look around their newly re-furbished funeral home at Ashdene House, in the heart of the village.

One of the company directors, Andrew Thornalley, said: “We had a great turnout and it was lovely to see a very positive response from everyone who attended. Many people told us that a funeral home was needed in the area and it’s great to see how much support we have received which is reflected in the feedback on both ours and the Dersingham Village Facebook page.”

The new premises is the third for Thornalley Funeral Services and will be managed by Sam Small and Nicky Briers who have been with Thornalley Funeral Services for many years.

The other two funeral homes are in King’s Lynn and Swaffham.

Mr Thornalley said that it will be a comfort for the people in Dersingham to know that their loved one will be resting and cared for locally by a local, family run funeral business.

“We are an independent family dedicated team and look forward to serving Dersingham and the surrounding areas, continuing to offer a high level of service to the bereaved and their loved ones.”
