Teams unite to enjoy their ice lollies as the temperature rises during a competitive Town cluster Dynamos cricket tournament at North Runcton.

CRICKET: St Martha’s emerged triumphant in the Town cluster of the West Norfolk School Sports Partnership’s Dynamos cricket tournament at North Runcton.

It was the first competition following a new format and scoring system but all nine schools adapted well, along with sports leaders from King Edward VII Academy, who did all the umpiring and scoring.

After pool matches, the top three teams emerged as St Martha’s South Wootton and Holy Meadows and they progress to the partnership finals on June 6.

Other schools competing were North Wootton, Ashwicken, Flitcham, Gayton, Sandringham and Whitefriars.

Tesco Hardwick were thanked for their support after their community engagement officer provided more than 100 ice lollies for players and staff – a welcome relief on a hot day.
