A new pavilion has been officially opened at The Burnhams Tennis Club in Burnham Market, in memory of a late club member.

The ribbon was cut to open the pavilion by Janet Offord, whose late husband Bill supervised the building work and chose the best materials for the job.

The new building has a fully equipped kitchen, a large committee room, store room and toilet.

Committee member David Jacobs said: “It is fabulous to have it up and running. Everyone decided it should be named The Bill Offord Pavilion.

“We are a very active club with teams in the North Norfolk league and the club is open to anyone.”
