A new group is being launched in King’s Lynn next week to support people who have undergone and amputation.

Steel Bones will be holding a coffee meet-up on Thursday at Dobbies Garden Centre on the Hardwick from 10am to noon.

The charity operates on a voluntary basis, working to connect the amputee community, create friendships and provide an extensive, proactive support network.

Groups are led by a volunteer amputee who has been touched by the support they have received from Steel Bones and wants to make a difference helping and connecting other amputees.

“This is a charity for amputees led by amputee families who really get what other amputee families are going through,” a spokesperson said.

The Lynn group will be led West Norfolk resident  Wendy Bearton. Call 01223  734000 or email wendy@steelbone.co.uk for details.
