ANGLING: With the weather conditions all over the place, the fishing at Blackdyke Trout Fly Fishery has been a bit hit and miss this week.
However, at times some anglers found themselves surrounded by fish and easily making double figures.
Most notably Martin Smith caught 25 rainbows, mostly in the afternoon in awful weather conditions.
Sally lures are still working, along with damsels, dancers and cats, along with black and green patterns.
There has been lots of action on buzzers and nymphs, mostly a few feet down, and the dries are starting to kick in when the conditions are right.
There was a restock on Monday.
Andrew Batchelor, Steve Holt and Steve Willerton enjoyed a lads’ getaway in the cabin and pulled five out between them, even though they had to fish through some rotten weather.
