ANGLING: Despite the weather being terrible for most of the week, fishing has been great at Blackdyke Trout Fly Fishery.

Wind has blown from all directions but the fishing has stayed consistent at the Hockwold venue with some excellent results, especially with many anglers landing large fish and some brown trout too. Success have come predominantly from buzzers and damsels but there were periods when the fish were taking from the top with hoppers, floating spiders and fabs or just below on blobs, cdcs and various suspended buzzers.

The banks are especially muddy so anglers are urged to be careful.
