More than 500 people took a walk through a special Nativity storyboard event held at St Mary’s Church in Snettisham.

The church was open for socially-distanced family walk-ins last Sunday of the Nativity story, told through storyboards and with animals from nearby Snettisham Park.

The donkey was the first animal in the storyboard followed by lambs with model shepherds, a Nativity scene at the font, and alpacas representing the camels and three kings.

Families were able to follow the story around the church and stroke the animals.

Church warden Andy Gee said it was the Christmas story with a difference for families to enjoy.

He said the event attracted visitors from near and far including a family from California on holiday.

“It was wonderful to see grandparents and parents in groups able to participate,” said Mr Gee, who added the feedback from families had been lovely with people saying they felt comfortable with the way the event had been set out inside the church.
