Emergency services in Norfolk are joining forces to make people aware of the realities of drink and drug driving.

As part of the Christmas campaign a crash scene will be created at King’s Lynn’s Tuesday Market Place to reinforce the  consequences of drink or drug driving.

Last year, in Norfolk, 46 drivers provided positive alcohol readings, while eight people failed to provide a specimen and four people were prosecuted for being unfit to drive through drink or drugs.

Twenty-eight people failed roadside drug tests and a total of 86 motorists were arrested throughout the campaign.
