FOOTBALL: Regular Man v Fat football sessions have led to the formation of a new team in King’s Lynn.

The 11-a-side team made their debut with a 3-3 draw against Norwich after being presented with a new kit.

Club captain Michael Parish said: “The concept is a friendly atmosphere with men over a certain BMI getting together for the love of football. It offers the chance to meet new people and just to have couple of hours without a care to enable better mental health.

“We are also looking to do more with the 8:56 Foundation and support anyone we can.”

The team came out of the Friday sessions at Lynnsport, which started in October.

The Man v Fat programme is open to anyone over 18 and with a BMI of at least 27.5
