• King’s Lynn Golf Club’s 200 Club held their annual competition on Halloween Day.

The weather for such a ghoulish day did not disappoint and 26 hardy players went out to play.

All seasons of weather, apart from snow, were thrown at the players but, despite the conditions, scores were great.

The competition had to be reduced to nine holes and having dried out, players and members of the 200 Club and their guests enjoyed a Sunday roast carvery.

Presentations were made to winners of the nearest the pin on the fifth hole – ladies, Diane Mann and men, Iain Yule.

Competition winners were David Lawman and Maggie Clarkson with 21 points, two points ahead of Philip Gurr and Ron Engledow, with Iain Yule and Sharon Winterbottom a further point adrift.
