Police are appealing for information after a cash machine was stolen from a petrol station in Hillington in the early hours of today (Monday).

Officers were called at 1.15am to the Esso petrol station in Lynn Road. They found the ATM machine, which is believed to have contained several thousand pounds, had been stolen. A white van thought to have been used in the raid was recovered nearby by police.

A spokesman for Norfolk Police said a man aged in his 20s had been arrested in connection with the incident and was in custody at King’s Lynn Police Station.
