West Norfolk artist Vanda Richards hosted a special workshop to help raise funds for a life-saving charity.

The fundraising event Introduction to Oils was held at Ingoldisthorpe church hall, with students taking part using materials and equipment provided by Ms Richards.

A total of £880 was raised for the Hunstanton branch of the RNLI, which operates lifeboat services out of Old Hunstanton.

A spokesman for the RNLI said: “All materials were provided by Vanda and 12 participants were given a masterclass in painting a beautiful seascape of sunset over Heacham Beach from a photograph taken by Jo Jutsom, deputy launch authority from the RNLI boathouse.”

The day had been organised by the Hunstanton Guild and committee members provided participants with refreshments, including lunch.
