Health chiefs are urging people to have their flu jab to protect themselves and help to ease winter pressure on NHS services.

A spokesman for Norfolk and Waveney Clinical Commissioning Group said: “This winter the risks of both flu and Covid outbreaks are high. This is because fewer people will have built up natural immunity to flu during the pandemic, and protective measures like social distancing and mask wearing have been lifted.”

The vaccine is available free of charge to some and there is a flu nasal spray vaccine for young children.
