A new grant scheme has been launched to further help businesses on the road to recovery.

Since the start of the pandemic, West Norfolk Council has paid out more than £77m in grants to support local businesses.

The Planning for the Future grant will be operated by New Anglia Local Enterprise Partnership on behalf of the council following a successful pilot scheme.

Council leader Stuart Dark said: “There is a limited pot of funding available to support West Norfolk companies, so we’re looking for businesses to bring forward investment projects that will have a significant impact on their business.”

Grants of between £2,500 to £25,000 will be available for resilience, future recovery and growth projects to be completed by February 28.

Successful applicants must be able to demonstrate how they have been impacted by Covid, what they need to invest in and how this will enable them to respond to the impact and grow.

They will also need to show how the grant will help improve the sustainability of the business operation, minimise the environmental impact and, where possible, support the aim towards net zero.
