Four sisters will take on a fundraising challenge by running 13.1 miles, cycling 56 miles and swimming 1.2 miles in memory of their dad.

Triplets Charlotte, Amy, and Lucy Newell, 25, along with elder sister Eleanor, 28, are completing an Ironman in aid of the British Heart Foundation in memory of their dad Eddie Newell who died suddenly a year ago.

So far they have raised £3,205 for their challenge in Hunstanton next Saturday.

Charlotte said: “It has been a year since we lost him. We are doing it as a way to raise money and also to distract ourselves on that day.

“None of us have done anything like this before, although Amy and Lucy completed the Three Peaks Challenge in Yorkshire in July for the British Heart Foundation.

“We want the fundraising to be something ongoing we can do to keep his memory alive.”

they were younger.

Mr Newell was a keen author and some of his books were published on Amazon where they are available to buy.

Titles include No Easy Fights, No Easy Fights II: Who Holds the Real Power?, Justice Within: DCI Graeme King Book 1 and An Opulent Illusion: DCI Graeme King Book 2.

The sisters added: “Our dad is and always will be our world.

“We want to raise money to help the British Heart Foundation to prevent other families going through the pain we are experiencing.”
