A popular major autumn event is due to return next month.

Fawkes in The Walks, organised by West Norfolk Council, is back after being one of the many events cancelled last year due to the pandemic.

The free King’s Lynn event will take place on Friday, November 5, opening at 6pm. There will be stalls and rides and West Norfolk Mayor Harry Humphrey will light the bonfire at 6.30pm.

The Chebbs will perform on stage at 7pm and the firework display will follow at 8pm.
The event will have its own Snapchat filter. Between 5pm and 9pm users can add the official filter to their snaps and let their friends know they’re enjoying the event.

The borough council will also be sharing any snaps that are saved and posted to Facebook, Twitter or Instagram with the hashtag #FawkesinTheWalks.

Although free to attend, collections will be made to help cover the cost of the event. Charges may be made for other activities.

People have been asked not to take pets to The Walks on the evening of the event and not to bring firewood for the bonfire.
