North Lynn-based AMA Waste Management Limited has been purchased by UK Waste Solutions LTD.

Ben Lukey, managing director at AMA said: “In selling the business, one of our key considerations was finding a buyer that shared our family values and that would build on our success; UK Waste Solutions Limited was the perfect fit, and we know that our staff, customers and suppliers are in good hands.”

UK Waste Solutions Limited, based in Nottinghamshire, is a resource management consultancy, providing services that enable clients to improve their environmental performance and control costs.

The company has a turnover of £35m and 107 employees.

Managing director Max Kanda, said: “The acquisition of AMA Waste Management Limited strengthens our position as the leading broker in the UK waste and resource management sector. 

“We welcome AMA’s staff, suppliers and customers on board and look forward to working in partnership with you all to deliver environmentally and economically sustainable solutions.”

A spokesman said AMA would join an expanding group of companies, allowing UK Waste Solutions Limited to continue to grow its range of well-established waste and resource management services. 

They added: “The deal will underscore the business’s commitment to the environment sector.”
