Mods and rockers returned to King’s Lynn for a classic scooter and motorbike meet.

Crowds flocked to the Tuesday Market Place to the sound of motorbikes and music on Sunday.

Lambrettas, Harleys, Vespas and Triumph motorbikes and scooters – typical machines of the 1960s – were on display for all to admire.

Groups who took to the stage at the event, organised by West Norfolk Council, were The Soft Tone Needles, The Groove Hounds and The Summertime Kings.

Graham Middleton, cabinet member for business, culture and heritage said: “It was wonderful to see the Tuesday Market Place full of mods and rockers with their motorbikes and scooters for the sixth year. The sun shone and we had great live music on stage.

“I’m looking forward to this weekend in the Tuesday Market Place. On Saturday Simon Rowe hosts a family disco and games and we head back to the 80s on Sunday with music from the Wild Boys and DJ Mark Purdy. It should be a great way to finish our summer events season.”

Tomorrow’s disco is 10am to 3pm and Sunday’s live music is from noon to 3pm.
