Barry Slemmings sent in this picture of damage to the property in Hunstanton.

Continuous rain may have played a part in the collapse of stone on the fascia of a building in Hunstanton last week.

The carrstone front of the two-storey property in Chapel Lane collapsed in in the early hours of last Wednesday following a day of persistent rain.

No one was hurt but it is understood there was damage to adjacent parked cars.

Crews from Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service attended the scene and two special service units carried out emergency shoring-up work to prevent further collapse.
