CROQUET: The Downham team of Bryan Saddington, David Haslam and Jonathan Toye had a good tussle in their final Association Croquet League match of the season.

Saddington was successful in his singles match against Terrey Sparks with a resounding 26-3 win. However, the visitors from Great Dunham thrived in the peaceful gardens of Stow Hall and hit back to win 3-1 and clinch the league title.

This season saw Downham return to league play after a long break and has proved an enjoyable experience.

The West Norfolk team finished fourth and fifth respectively out of six teams in the Golf and Association Leagues.
