South Wootton resident and long-serving St Faith’s Methodist member Elaine Price-Jones will celebrate her 100th birthday today (Friday) by holding an open house coffee morning at King’s Lynn’s Knights Hill Hotel.
A founder member of St Faith’s Gaywood Forget-Me-Not lunch club for the over 60s and long-serving treasurer, Mrs Price-Jones is also a member of the church choir and singing has always been an important part of her life.
She has also been involved in the King’s Lynn Inner Wheel Club for many years.
Friends said Mrs Price-Jones is known for her elegant dress style and sense of humour.
When asked for the secret of her long life, she replied that she had never joined a gym, never gone out jogging and never run anywhere.
She added: “Doing none of these widely accepted health-beneficial pursuits clearly hasn’t done me any harm.”
