South West Norfolk MP Elizabeth Truss is the new foreign secretary.

Her new role was announced today (Wednesday) as part of Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s reshuffle of his top team of cabinet ministers.

Ms Truss replaces Dominic Raab, who will be Justice Secretary, Lord Chancellor and Deputy Prime Minister.

Ms Truss, whose last appointment was International Trade Secretary, remains as minister for women and equalities.

Ms Truss, 46, has held previous offices including Chief Secretary to the Treasury from 2017 to 2019, Lord Chancellor and Secretary of State for Justice from 2016 to 2017 and Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs from 2014 to 2016.
