A Fenland IT business, which has been operating for 20 years, has opened a new shop in West Norfolk.

Tamar IT offers information technology support for businesses and home customers and sells laptops, PCs and computer accessories.

On Monday West Norfolk Mayor Harry Humphrey opened Tamar’s new premises in Norfolk Street, King’s Lynn.

Shawn Taylor, managing director of Tamar IT, said: “It’s a daunting experience to be expanding while in the midst of a pandemic, but I am excited for our growth and the future talent that my business will take on as we expand.

“We already support local customers and businesses in the King’s Lynn area, but I want to create a safe and professional space where businesses and home users in the area can come to.”

Mr Taylor said one new job had been created at the Lynn shop so far, but more would follow.

Tamar IT, which has a shop on the outskirts of Wisbech, also works with a national apprenticeship provider, delivering Microsoft certified qualifications to young people.
