Pavement reconstruction work lasting seven weeks is due to start on Monday at New Road and Denmark Road in Gaywood.

The surface will be removed and replaced and damaged kerbs replaced. The west side kerb face of New Road will also be lowered for easier parking for residents.

Vehicle and pedestrian access will be maintained but Norfolk County Council has said there may be some short delays at times as work takes place in front of driveways.

A temporary parking restriction on New Road and Denmark Road is set to be in place for the duration of the scheme.

A council spokesman said the work, costing around £30,000, is being carried out during school holidays “to minimise disruption”.

It will be carried out by the council’s community and environmental services department and its contractors.
