West Norfolk Riding for the Disabled Association is appealing for help to replace old equipment.

Natalie Dade, yard manager at the South Runcton Magpie Centre where the association is based, said: “Some of our yard equipment is coming to the end of its useful life, so we need to replace it.

“Many of our ponies are cobs with heavy coats so they need clipping regularly to keep them cool and comfortable in work.

“At up to £45 a pair for clipper blades, their maintenance does not come cheap.”

Items needed include grooming kits, manure scoops, brooms, shavings forks and clipper blades.

The association is also looking for help with the cost of two tables needed for the new sensory garden. The hardwood tables cost £600 each.
