Youngsters enjoyed a fun time when one West Norfolk school held a Teddy Bear’s Picnic in the sunshine.
Children set to join next term’s reception class at Ashwicken Church of England Primary School indulged in tasty treats and listened to stories during the special occasion last week.
There were craft activities to enjoy too, with party headbands made and worn during a morning of summer fun.
The school held the event as a transition morning, designed to help youngsters get to know staff and other pupils in advance of starting school in September.
“It was a lovely morning and a chance for them to meet all of their new friends,” said teacher Lucy Hudson.
“They all brought their own teddy bear from home, we made teddy bear headbands and then we all sat around and had a teddy bear’s picnic with snacks brought from home. They had a fantastic time and it was lovely to see them mix with their new friends.”
