A water safety event will be held at Bawsey Country Park as part of a summer safety campaign following the death of a young man last month.
The event will be held on Friday, July 30 from 10am to 2pm.
Representatives from Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service and Norfolk Police will be on hand to offer advice and rescue boats will be at the site.
Richard Wilkins, the park’s business development manager, said: “It is one thing to simply say stay out of the water, we also want to educate people as to why they should follow this rule. Understanding the risks, knowing how to stay safe and how to act in an emergency can make a real difference.”
Last month, 20-year-old Radek Gina from Wisbech died after getting into difficulty while swimming in the pits at the beauty spot site. He was the fourth person since 2013 to drown in lakes at the former quarry site.
