FOOTBALL: Newly formed KLSC u12s have had a great season, winning all 12 of their Mid Norfolk Youth League games.

They scored 111 goals and had just seven scored against them. Lennon Mortimer led the way with a haul of 43 goals and there were double-figure returns for Alfie Gallon, Stanley James and Jaden Walden.

The team also reached the final of the Norfolk County Cup, losing to a Wroxham team full of Norwich City elite and academy players.

Manager Stuart Gallon said: “These lads are a great bunch and have a great team spirit and have been superb all season.”

He thank joint manager Neil Walden and team sponsors Nikki and Shane Mortimer, of Smart Engineering for their support.

“Nikki has been great with hats, scarves, coats, rain jackets, winter coats and the little touches like personalised Christmas and birthday cards for the lads,” said Gallon.

He also thanked West Lynn Sports & Social Club for free use of the pitch and the food put on, as well as Phil and Rachel Yates and Ian Prentice of KLSC for welcoming the team to the club.
