Villagers were invited to get creative and boost morale with a fun weekend Scarecrow Trail.

Following on from the success of last year’s events, organisers at Clenchwarton invited residents and other villagers to get involved.

Held over Saturday and Sunday, the trail saw some very colourful characters pop up in gardens and on driveways.

One display also had an important “keep this village tidy” message urging people to take their litter home and to not leave pet waste bags in trees and bushes.

Organiser Rebecca Adair said: “Thank you to everyone from all the different villages who took part in the village scarecrow trail.

“Although it didn’t have as many scarecrows as last year it was still a lovely free, family fun event with a brilliant selection of scarecrows to admire.

“The next event will be the Halloween scarecrow trail in Clenchwarton and surrounding villages and it would be lovely to see what everyone’s imaginations come up with this year.”
