OVAL RACING: The Adrian Flux Arena is back with a bang this week with the return of stock car and banger action.

The venue was able to host a handful of events in 2020 before lockdown restricted events but stage three of the government’s roadmap allowing sports venues to reopen, means racing is back.

The opening event promises a big weekend with tomorrow evening starting with the big, brutal stock cars in a three formula mix of action.

Sunday afternoon sees non-stop bangers.

It is a meeting with extra significance as the team will be raising money and awareness for CALM and mental health.

There are 130 cars scheduled for tomorrow and 150 booked for Sunday.

Heacham-based Willie Skoyles will be hoping to get his F1 stock car season off the ground well tomorrow but it will be a race against time as he is waiting for his engine. It was due to be fitted midweek, so he is keeping his fingers crossed he makes it.

Sunday will see King’s Lynn’s Shaun, Jon and Ross Cooper take on the action in the banger teams event, racing for the Aftermath team, they are synonymous with a crash.

Similarly, Kieran Bowman, racing for the rival Predators team, will be wanting to make sure his team come out on top.

The events have strictly limited capacity and tickets are required in advance from the website.

Tomorrow is already sold out but some tickets are still available for Sunday’s racing.
