RINK HOCKEY: King’s Lynn Rink Hockey Club are recruiting the next generation of skating talent to join their growing youth academy.
The reigning and five-time National Premier League champions are aiming to pick up the stars of the future to ensure the club’s long-term success.
They are seeking youngsters aged six to 12 who are learning to, or can already skate, and are looking for a way to take their skills to the next level.
Two free introductions to rink hockey are being held at Alive Lynnsport, on Saturday, May 22, and Saturday, June 12, 2-3pm.
Rink hockey is like field hockey but on roller skates.
Club coach Will Martin said: “In our opinion, however, it is much better. If you’re excited by a new challenge, then learning to play rink hockey could be the perfect next step.”
The sessions will be run by current Lynn and England stars and are the best way to discover if this could be your next calling.
Current Lynn and England captain Josh Taylor will be leading the sessions, assisted by teammates from Lynn’s Premier League-winning side, Jack Tucker, Owen Norris, and Will Martin (who will be looking after budding goalkeepers), as well as current Lynn youth coach, referee and parent, James Smith.
The club is also keen to promote their sport through schools and is seeking any who would like them to present an assembly.
