Children at North Lynn’s Greenpark Academy have hundreds of reasons to be proud of themselves.

They took part in a series of challenges last Friday after being inspired by the fundraising efforts of Captain Sir Tom Moore.

The pupils took part in the Captain Tom 100 Challenge where members of the public were asked to complete their own challenges to mark what would have been Captain Tom’s 101st birthday.

Year four teacher and PE lead Jason Brewer said: “The children were amazed at how much money one person could raise for the NHS charity during the pandemic.

“They all admired his determination and were thrilled to have a go at completing 100 spins with a hula-hoop or skipping rope.”

Year six pupils took part in scoring 100 goals and year two pupils challenged themselves to complete a written two times table within 100 seconds.
