FOOTBALL: KLSC Lionesses are getting ready for the 2021/22 season in the Norfolk Women’s and Girls League.

The newly formed KLSC women’s team have already lined up a series of friendlies and are holding training sessions at West Lynn on Thursdays, 6.30pm, open to anyone wishing to join the go-ahead club.

The club thanked Kevin Edwards, of West Lynn Social Club, for sponsored the women’s shirts.

Club secretary Ian Prentice said everyone involved was proud of the direction the club was going.

Louise Coggles, Brittany Hay and Peggy Wilson are among the senior players and coaching team and are keen to offer a new outlet for women’s football in the area. 

Prentice said: “Ladies football is hugely under-represented in this area of the county and that needs to change.

“We have a few teenagers coming and should interest grow, KLSC we would like to run a girls team.”
