Volunteers at the King’s Lynn fundraising group of Guide Dogs are hoping their tea party will be part of a record-breaking, fundraising event.
The local group is to take part in a Guinness World Record Book attempt to stage the world’s biggest virtual tea party on National Tea Day, Wednesday, April 21 between 3pm and 4pm.
A host of celebrities will be joining the record bid including Alan Titchmarsh, Hugh Bonneville and Gregg Wallace.
The charity’s fundraising manager, Pam White, said: “Over the past year we have all become aware of what it feels like to be isolated.
“Everyone hosting a virtual tea party for us or donating the cost of their cuppa on National Tea Day will ensure people with sight loss don’t feel alone now, and in the future.”
