A new community Easter event has been launched taking in the sights and landmarks of a West Norfolk coastal towns.

Hunstanton and District Festival of Arts (HDFA) has organised a Covid-safe Easter Treasure Trail with 20 chocolate eggs up for grabs, thanks to the town’s Tesco store.

The trail is to feature 10 questions about local landmarks and historic sites in Hunstanton, starting at the Coastguard lookout and finishing at Hunstanton Green.

The organisers said it would  give people a chance to “enjoy some outdoor activities in a Covid-safe way”.

HDFA chairman Christine Earnshaw said: “With Easter around the corner, we felt it would be fun to engage with our community with a fun quiz based on some of the historic and iconic places around our lovely town.

“The treasure trail can be enjoyed by anyone and everyone at a time of day to suit them over the course of a week and we hope the added incentive of being in with a chance of winning a scrumptious Easter Egg from our local Tesco will encourage people to get involved.”

Entry forms can be downloaded from the HDFA website www.festival3.com and also from Facebook at the Hunstanton Festival 3 by the Sea page.

The closing date for entries is midnight on Thursday, April 8.

Winners will be notified the following day.
