Hunstanton lifeboat crew rescued four people after they were caught out by the tide at Brancaster.

The RNLI was alerted by the Coastguard at around 4.50pm yesterday (Tuesday) when two women, two children and their dog got stranded at Scolt Head Island.

They were taken in the hovercraft to the safety of the beach.

Visitors to the seaside have been urged to be aware of the dangers of tides, strong currents and sandbanks.
