FOOTBALL: Despite the many problems that have beset King’s Lynn Town this season, the one thing that has never been in question is the quality of the football that has been served up week in, week out.

Even though many of the results have not been what we would have wanted, the standard we have played at times against some of the biggest and best non-League teams has been very positive.

We finished a run of games against the league’s top three last weekend – Sutton United, Hartlepool United and Torquay United. Although we collected only a point for our effort, we really did deserve more.

The huge progress that has been made on the pitch was evident for all too see.

Yes, the learning continues but to be achieving what we are in the present circumstances defies belief.

Injuries and furlough have changed the look of the team in the space of a few weeks. Just maybe, had everything been a little different, I’m sure we would have had a few more points in the bag.
