A long-serving parish councillor has been recognised for her “passion and care” for Crimplesham.
Pamela Biggs (pictured), who has served the village as a councillor and also chairman and vice-chairman for 41 years, received high praise from West Norfolk Mayor Geoff Hipperson.
Mr Hipperson joined Crimplesham Parish Council’s online meeting last Wednesday to virtually present a special Mayor’s Community Volunteer certificate to her.
He said her commitment to public service was “rare” and councillor Biggs had showed passion and care for her village for more than four decades.
As well as her parish council dedication, Mr Hipperson paid tribute to her work as a trustee of the village hall committee and a trustee of the playing field committee, which led a successful campaign to save the school playing field.
