The RSPB is looking for volunteers to help protect nesting ringed plovers.

The population has declined and the birds are struggling to find safe beaches where they can nest.

Volunteers are needed to help protect, monitor and spread the word about the birds, with help needed at Snettisham, Heacham and at RSPB Titchwell.

People are also being asked to help the organisation to gather data on who visits the beach and what measures they would support to help protect these special birds.

If you can spare a few hours a week from April 1 to August 31 get in touch with the Titchwell reserve via email at: titchwell@rspb.org.uk for more information.
