Vandals who set fire to a shed at a village playing field caused more than £10,000 worth of damage.

The wooden shed, at the bottom of the Leonard Towler playing field in Mill Road at St Germans, was set alight between 6.30pm and 7.30pm on February 22, police have said.

A vintage tractor was destroyed in the blaze along with other agricultural machinery and tools.

Police officers want to hear from anyone who saw any suspicious activity in the area at the time.

They are also keen to speak to three people seen walking towards the site at around 5.50pm that evening.
