Police responding to concerns raised by a dog walker were relieved to find a mannequin stuck in a hedgerow.

Officers were called to a field in Wretton on Sunday morning after spotting what appeared to be a man kneeling in a hedge.

They discovered the “suspicious item” was in fact the bottom half of a mannequin, dressed in smart blue jeans and trainers.

King’s Lynn Police shared a picture of the find on Twitter and wrote: “No two days are ever the same in our job.

“Following a call from a dog walker reporting a suspicious item in Wretton, we were pleased to see this was not as reported.

“If you’re missing a set of mannequin legs after being creative, they are with us at Downham Market Police Station.”
