Police in Norfolk are trying to reunite owners with a collection of stolen items recovered during an investigation into a burglary near Norwich.

Police were called when an elderly couple in Blofield discovered jewellery had been stolen from the bedroom after allowing a window cleaner to enter their home.

Neighbours had also been cold-called by the same window cleaner and turned him away.

A man in his 50s was arrested and the jewellery was recovered along with a number of items believed to have been stolen.

The items, which range from brooches to silver spoons and watches, are expected to relate to three other similar offences dating back to burglaries from 2018, police said.

Detective Sergeant Pete Wilson said the offences could have been committed countywide, with the elderly and vulnerable being targeted.
