An appeal in Your Local Paper for men’s clothing for The Purfleet Trust has seen the charity inundated with items.

Joy Wylie, the King’s Lynn-based charity’s business and communications manager, thanked everyone for the donated items and said no more clothing was currently needed as a result of the story.

She said the response had been “amazing” and included £1,500 worth of new clothes from Lynn firm Double G Clothing.

The Austin Fields-based charity, set up in 1993, supports the homeless in a variety of ways. Its services include housing advice to help people find accommodation and support to help them maintain their tenancies.

The Purfleet Trust relies on financial donations and anyone wanting to fundraise or donate can find out how to help at www.purfleettrust.org.uk or call 01553 767829.
