A historic King’s Lynn building was a vision in red to celebrate Chinese New Year.

The town hall on the Saturday Market Place was lit up to mark the Year of the Ox on Friday.

Due to lockdown, West Norfolk Council posted the images on social media for residents to see.

Stuart Dark, cabinet member for environmental services and public protection for the borough council, said:  “I wish our Chinese community in King’s Lynn and West Norfolk a happy and prosperous new year.

“I appreciate it’s a different new year this year, because of Covid, but hopefully we’ll be out of it soon and able to enjoy the year and all it brings.”
