Feltwell High Street is to be shut for re-surfacing for six days, weather permitting.

The stretch between the Bell Street and Long Lane junctions is to be closed from Sunday for the work, which is expected to cost £98,750. Norfolk County Council, which is carrying out the project, said vehicle access to properties within the works would be maintained from one direction at all times.

Pedestrian access will also be maintained throughout.

A council spokesman said: “The usual one-way system on Hill Street and Short Beck will be temporarily suspended to allow traffic to continue to access High Street while the resurfacing work is taking place, and there will be gate men at key points to manage traffic and assist where possible.”

A fully-signed diversion route for traffic will be in place during the work.
