Work is under way to revamp and extend the play area at Sandringam Country Park.

The royal estate was granted planning permission for the project by West Norfolk Council last month.

New climbing towers, a giant tube slide, water play equipment, toddler play area, high-level walkways, treetop decks and new seating areas are planned.

Some of the new wooden structures are to be based on local landmarks, including the water tower at Appleton.
