Decorated shop windows brought some festive cheer to the coast when Hunstanton and District Festival of Arts invited businesses to enter into the Christmas spirit.

Organisers said twinkling lights, Nativity scenes, stars, snowflakes baubles and tinsel had brought “colour, light and sparkle” to the town and cheered up a dull year.

Three winners were selected with first place being awarded to The Enchanted Plaza in the High Street for a “bright, colourful display”.

Second place went to The Norfolk Deli for its original and artistic hand-painted Christmas window and third was The Norfolk Hospice, Tapping House Your Hospice charity shop for its snowy scene.

The judges also presented a special commendation certificate to The  Hemporium for its display.
