More than 450 cards have been donated as part of a festive project by staff at King’s Lynn’s Fisherfolk Museum.

The cards are in the process of being delivered to care homes in the Lynn area to help spread some festive cheer.

Museum staff aim to send a Christmas card to every resident in care homes to let them know after a year of isolation people are thinking of them.

The project was spearheaded during the November lockdown after Lindsey Bavin, museum curator, suggested they could make some Christmas cards.

She said: “We are absolutely delighted by the response from the public who’ve made and donated Christmas cards. I’ve been out and about delivering cards; it makes me feel a little bit like one of Father Christmas’ elves.”

Another 50 cards are still needed. If you can help contact the museum on 01553 770479 or email
