Downham Market-based Country Grounds Maintenance (CGM) has donated £100 to King’s Lynn Foodbank.

The money was raised from its monthly Dress Down Fridays, where staff are encouraged to wear casual clothing.

Based at the TS  Vancouver building in South Quay, the food bank helps people  who have fallen on hard times by providing emergency food parcels.

Will Hoy, CGM corporate services director, said: “We all agreed to support the food bank which does so much terrific work locally.

“We’ve developed a great relationship with them and will continue to provide support into 2021 too.”

Helen Gilbert, King’s Lynn Foodbank project manager added: “A big thank you to the staff at CGM for their donation to the food bank.

“It’s really appreciated, especially at this time of year when there are increasing numbers of people struggling to make ends meet.

“We’ve seen far more families needing help this year, so all donations will help us to provide the emergency help that they need.”
