North West Norfolk MP James Wild has vowed to keep the pressure on for better dental care for constituents.
The MP said it was “very disappointing” to learn My Dentist in the High Street, King’s Lynn, is to close at the end of this month.
In his Your Local Paper column on page 20, Mr Wild said he had spoken to the practice which had struggled to attract permanent staff.
“I was assured there are no plans to close the Purfleet practice and patients with open courses of treatment will be able to complete them there,” he said.
Mr Wild met with the director of Primary Care and Public Health last week to review dentistry provision.
A new practice was planned to open next April following the opening of a new practice at Marham, but this has now been delayed, Mr Wild said.
“There’s a real need here for better provision and I will keep the pressure on to deliver it,” he said.
